About Me

I'm Ádám Bíró, a software developer with a creative background. I'm always looking to learn and grow—becoming the best version of myself is something I really value. For me, self-improvement isn't just a goal, it's part of what keeps me going.

My journey started back in childhood, with videography as an elective in high school. After finishing my GCSEs, I studied photography and got my degree in 2002. A few years later, in 2005, I completed a multimedia developer course, which opened the door to programming. I started creating games, web, and mobile apps, often using my own photos and videos for content and design. Later, I continued my studies in IT at university, where I sharpened my programming skills even more.

I've been working as a developer for nearly 15 years, mainly focusing on web application development. But outside of coding, you'll often find me behind a camera, capturing moments—whether it's events, anniversaries, or anything else worth remembering.

Web Application Development

I’ve been working in IT for almost 15 years, gaining experience in both back-end and front-end development. Over the years, I’ve worked on all kinds of projects—big and small, as a freelancer and within large enterprises. I’ve contributed my technical skills while also being an active part of different teams, bringing not just my expertise but also my personality into the mix.

Personality

I’m a hardworking introvert, always looking to improve myself. I stand by my values and perspectives, but I’m also open to new ideas—if someone has a better solution, I’m more than happy to go with it. I’m dedicated, focused, and detail-oriented, always prioritizing project goals. Quality matters more to me than rushing to meet a deadline, which is why I follow the Clean Code approach.

Videography

Back in high school, I took videography as an elective and spent a lot of time creating short films and video clips with a camcorder. That was during the VHS era, so I got hands-on experience with both analog and digital editing, learning how to use cameras, lighting, and post-production tools. After graduating, I studied photography at an academy and even worked as a cameraman for TV studios. Videography is actually what led me to photography in the first place. While I’d still love to shoot short films someday, my main focus right now is photography and programming.

Photography

For over two years, I worked as a professional photographer, but eventually, my main focus shifted to programming and web development. That said, photography is still a big part of my life—it’s my creative escape. I love everything about it: scouting locations, the drive to get there, wandering around to find the perfect shot, and then the editing process where I turn a raw image into something artistic. I do it for myself because it makes me happy, but if others find value in my photos, that’s an extra motivation to keep going. Hopefully, in the future, I’ll have more time to dedicate to photography and even gain some recognition for my work.
